9th Chinese Bridge Competition in Pakistan
The 'Chinese Bridge' Chinese Proficiency Competition is an annual international language and cultural competition. The competition is organised by the Office of the Chinese Language Council International (‘Hanban’, Beijing). For the opportunity to win a trip to China and other amazing prizes read on to discover more about this international language and cultural competition.

The ‘Chinese Bridge’ international competition was launched in 2002 over 50,000 students from 50 over countries have participated and almost 700 students have been invited to China to attend the semi-finals and finals.The competition has three segments: a written test on cultural and geographical knowledge of China (in Chinese); a speaking component; and a cultural performance.

In Pakistan, the competition took place in Islamabad where eight final contestants survived the preliminary rounds. Sageer Ahmad from NUML won the first prize. He will soon be going to China to take a postgraduate program in Beijing.
