Description: Quill is a magazine on books and the reading life in Malaysia and Singapore. Since 2003, Quill has been recommending the best and upcoming titles in bookstores. The magazine supports Malaysian, Singaporean, as well as international authors, providing exclusive interviews and coverage of events. Famous Malaysian authors that have graced the pages of Quill include Whitbread-winning Tash Aw, Man Booker Prize-longlisted author Tan Twan Eng, AAAS Annual Book Award winner Preeta Samarasan, Best Scottish Fiction Prize-shortlisted Chiew-Siah Tei and Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award-shortlisted Shih-Li Kow. Singaporean authors Wena Poon (listed for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award), Ng Yi-Sheng (Singapore Literature Prize 2008 winner), O Thiam Chin and Shamini Flint have written for the magazine. International authors such as JM Coetzee, John Boyne, Hari Kunzru, Miguel Syjuco and Mohamed Hanif have also been interviewed. A huge supporter of literature, Quill sponsors exclusive magazines for the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and Singapore Writers Festival.
