Million's Poet Final: Nasser AlAjami is the Big Winner
Million's Poet is a reality television show on the United Arab Emirates television network Abu Dhabi TV and the The Million's Poet Channel. The show is a competition for the most talented poet in Arabic poetry to win a prize of Dh1 million. The show is taped at the Al Raha Beach Theatre. The show is very popular in the Middle East, it can be compared to American Idol. The show is funded by the Abu Dhabi Authority of Culture and Heritage in order to revive the poetry of Nabati, Mwal, Shalla and Qalta.

On April 7, 30-year-old Kuwaiti Nasser al Ajami was declared the winner. Second place went to Kuwaiti Falah al Mowraqi, who received $1.08 million prize money. Hissa Hilal came in third.
