Full-Time Freelance Editor Wanted For Major Gossip Blog ($30k/year)
Compensation: Freelance, $30,000/yr

We are looking for full-time freelance editor of major gossip blog.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Celebrity, pop culture and entertainment industry knowledge a must.
- Select photos, write captions, short story summaries and “engagement/conversation” back to your readers.
- Research, write and produce a timely competitive blog posts
- Package blog posts, images and other assets into compelling and engaging content packages.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Comfort and familiarity with web 2.0 technology, social networking and community sites.
- Identify content ideas, develop programming calendar
- Excellent editorial skills (writing, copyediting, etc) and proven interest and experience in celebrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS (or equivalent) 1 - 2 years of editorial, blogging, content development and packaging experience in online publishing.
- Experience writing for publication on the web and/or in print.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage frequent and demanding deadlines.
- Sharp editorial eye and solid proofreading skills; excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with web-based content management systems.
- Basic HTML and Photoshop experience needed.
- Self-motivated, self-starter able to set and meet tight deadlines, work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be a team player willing to take on additional challenges as needed.
