OUR OWN VOICE LITERARY EZINE (www.ourownvoice.com) is now reading poems, fiction and non-fiction for the themes, “Mindanao” and “Sino-Pinoy (Chinese-Filipino) Heritage”, to come out in August/September and December 2010, respectively.
OUR OWN VOICE is being accessed by Asian Studies classes and used by literary workshops in the Philippines as a source for Filipino contemporary literature. It is now part of an Internet Asian Contemporary Literature resource list. Past issues have focused on the Overseas Contract Workers, the Philippine American War, A Retrospective on the St. Louis World's Fair Exhibit of a Filipino Village, and a growing and definitive bibliography of Carlos Bulosan's works.
