Writers From Pakistan and Around the World Condemn Terrorism
Over 150 delegates from Pakistan and 35 other countries including India, China, etc. gathered in Pakistan and participated in a writers' conference on Sufism and peace. Writers vowed to uphold reconciliation, cooperation and harmony towards a culture of peace, condemning terrorism not just in Pakistan but all over the world.

In his concluding speech, Chairman of the Pakistan Academy of Letters Fakhar Zaman reminded the participants that the function of writers was to promote truth and to stand up against terrorism and extremism. "The world communities should now be free of tensions, they should now return to their countries with aroma of peace loving, moderate, progressive and enlightened Pakistan. They should write now on this that Pakistan is not the country of terrorists," he said.
