Potomac Review is a yearly publication that reflects its people, landscapes, habitats, values and ethos. In significant ways, it embodies Montgomery College's dedication to the arts and humanities, and has enabled us to showcase some of the talent at the College, particularly from our art classes. Potomac Review publishes a lively blend of writers and artists from the region and beyond.
Its poetry competition for 2010 received an overwhelming number of submissions, double-to triple the amount the last time they had a poetry contest. Here are the winners:

Luisa Igloria, born 1961, is a Filipina-American poet and author of various award-winning collections. She received her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of the Philippines-Baguio in 1980; and M.A. in Literature from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1988 as a Robert Southwell Fellow. She received a Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing at the University of Illinois in July 1995, where she was a Fulbright Fellow.
