Location: May work remotely, but required to attend weekly team meetings at our office (475 Riverside Drive, New York, NY, 10115).
Compensation: $300 stipend per month.

About Community Lab Community Lab is a non-profit organization that builds scalable systems to facilitate practical, sustainable community development. Through our global network of volunteers and our partnerships with academic institutions, development organizations, governments and corporations, we enable low-resource communities to address their own challenges through customized solutions.

Position Description Community Lab is developing an online portal focusing on the world of development. We're seeking an editor with a background in journalism, either professionally or as a student. Our ideal candidate will also have a background or interest in international development.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Editing copy and content for website, blog, newsletter, and other media.
- Generating story ideas.
- Directing and managing writers.
- Establishing and maintaining a consistent tone across all site content.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Positive attitude and sense of humor is a must!!
- Strong interest in social change and international development.
- Fluency in all web 2.0 tools required.
- Ability to work cooperatively, courteously, and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment to meet deadlines.
- Reliable self-starter who understands the responsibility of being the lead (with support from above and below) in a start-up venture with vast potential.
