Sponsored by the Philippine Agriculture Journalists (PAJ), the Binhi Awards night will happen on April 16th with the announcement of the winners of the 2008-2009 agricultural writing contest. The award is worth over P400,000 in cash prizes. Organized in 1976, the PAJ is composed of agriculture editors and reporters from the print and broadcast media as well as information writers from the government and private agencies involved in agriculture. It is affiliated with the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ).
