Poetry Workshops with Debjani Chatterjee at Kala Sangam, St Peter’s House, 1 Forster Square, Bradford, BD1 4TY.

Kala Sangam invites you to three exciting poetry readings and workshops run by Britain's best-known Asian poet, Debjani Chatterjee. The workshops will take inspiration from celebrations taking place during February and March, such as World Mother Language Day, Milad-un-Nabi, Holi, Purim, World Book Day and International Women's Day. Debjani has written, edited and translated over 50 books, including Namaskar, Masala and Words Spit & Splinter. Her readings and workshops are inspirational and not to be missed.

Event 1- Saturday 20th February 2pm-4:30pm
Poetry workshop inspired by the theme of language and mother tongue

Event 2- Saturday 27th February 2pm-4:30pm
Poetry workshop inspired by the Milad-un-Nabi, Holi and Purim festivals

Event 3- Saturday 6th March 2pm-4:30pm
Poetry workshop inspired by the theme of mothers and sisters

These events are for men and women of any ability. If participants already have short poems on the subjects under focus, they are welcome to bring and share these during the relevant workshop.
