4th Chinese Poetry Competition for University Students Merit Prize Winners
Chinese poetries embody the essence of the Chinese culture. Earlier the 4th Poetry Competition for University Students of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao co-organized by the Department of Chinese of the Sun Yat-Sen University, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Department of Chinese of the University of Macau (UM), and the Department of Chinese Literature of the National Cheng Kung University was held with the aim of promoting poetry creation and enhancing the cultural exchange between universities in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Lately an award-presenting ceremony for the competition was held at the Institute for Poetry, Calligraphy and Paintings in Dongguan, Guangdong Province. Two UM students (Jin Chunyuan and Liu Fan) won merit prizes for the undergraduate team and postgraduate team respectively.
