Description: CASUAL POET CULTURE is a label / studio based in Singapore since 2007. We also run a coffee shop on the 3rd floor of an old shophouse. It is filled with laidback people (who are hardworking in a way) in shorts and slippers everyday. We talk and dream and discuss and plot and live and love. Sometimes we organize exhibitions / live shows / readings / travel talks / movie screenings / classes in the store. The space is small and everyone's always cramped up, but it's been fun. In February this year (2009), we managed to get Hasisi Park from Korea over to do the opening night for her exhibition in the store, ""Don't let me hit the ground"". She's one of the artists we really love so we were really happy to have her around. Sometimes we go traveling and bring back photographs and some thoughts. We wish for the beach everyday, for the gentle waves, for the blue skies, for the hammock under the tree. And we hope, somehow, that our job could always give us that illusion of being free by the sea, doing what we love and having those easy, easy days (and making a living) all at the same time.
