Job Opening: Assistant Editor/ Feature Editor for Mother & Baby (MediaCorp Singapore)

MediaCorp features prominently in the development of Singapore's broadcasting history. We commenced Radio broadcast on 1 June 1936 and Television on 15 February 1963. Today, MediaCorp is Singapore's largest broadcaster with a complete range of media businesses spanning TV, Radio, News, Newspapers, Entertainment Productions, Movie Productions, Magazines, Electronic Media and other broadcasting services.

ASSISTANT EDITOR/ FEATURE EDITOR (MOTHER & BABY)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualise story ideas, as well as write, organise, and copy-edit content.
• Assist editor in managing and supervising editorial/design team, as well as freelancers.
• Assist editor in overseeing production and maintaining deadlines.
• Assist editor in handling sales and marketing issues.
• To deputise for the editor in her absence.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a degree in Mass Communication or PR.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in print journalism or PR.
• Possess an excellent command of the English language and have a flair for writing/editing.
• Have sound knowledge of parenting and childcare issues, and be familiar with beauty, fashion and lifestyle trends.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to deliver quality output under pressure with a keen eye for detail
• Possess good people and managerial skills.
