Workshop Summary
This workshop will introduce students to the techniques and processes of creative writing. We will explore the genres of short story, memoir and poetry. In these explorations we will express our inspiring moments, our struggles, our humbling human limitations and our uplifting experiences as Muslims in America.
After the workshop is completed, students have the option of submitting their work(s) for publication in my literary anthology called “Submissions”. In this anthology I wish to bring about openness, acceptance and knowledge. My hope is to humanize and share with America our experiences as new Muslims. A public performance/reading event will be arranged after completion of the workshop.
