ASSISTANT EDITOR
Editorial/Writing | Full Time | Hong Kong, China
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce original features and in-depth reports for Asia’s leading jewellery trade publication (print and online)
- Responsible for content development, and conducting interviews and research for articles assigned
- Edit/rewrite editorial copy, and work with Production on layout development
- Produce and copy-edit content of supplements and special projects, including Show Dailies, directories, eNewsletters and other annual publications
- Build and leverage on industry relationships to produce relevant and comprehensive reports
- Produce and proofread website content daily
- Assist in the planning and execution of online conferences
- Assist in training more junior staff
- Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years editorial experience at print publications, preferably in business reporting
- High proficiency in written English
- A strong news sense and an eye for detail
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, diligent and a team player
- Willing to travel
