Job Vacancy: Writer/ Editor for Soompi (Seoul, Korea)
We are looking for an energetic and passionate full-time writer/editor to join our team in Seoul. As a writer/editor, you will help with editorial duties and promotions, as well as perform miscellaneous duties. Assignments will vary, but they will allow you to gain experience in different fields in the online media business.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: writing and editing articles, subtitling interviews with K-Pop stars, using social media to publicize content, running promotions with entertainment agencies, analyzing site traffic, and more.

You will report to our office in Seoul and will be working for five days a week. The position is paid, but we will not be providing housing nor transportation expenses. Additionally, you must be able to work legally in Korea, meaning that you will need to possess a proper visa. F-4 (for people of Korean heritage) and H-1 (for people from Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, and Japan) are fine. Other visas may be considered as well. For more information, click here.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Fluent in Korean and English (written and spoken)
  • Very good command of English grammar
  • Passionate about writing high-quality, entertaining articles
  • Above-average knowledge of Korean entertainment and the Korean entertainment industry
  • Hard-working and proactive
