Calling all Qatari high school students! BEST ESSAYS: The winning essays and ten finalists will receive honorable mentions in a reception hosted by the dean of WCMC-Q.

PARTICIPATION: “Healing Hands: Caring Without Borders” is this year’s theme. In recent years, Qatari aid organizations have taken a leading role in caring for those stricken by natural disasters and conflict. For instance, they have offered relief to flood victims and medical aid and support to refugees fleeing the conflict zones. What preventive measures would you include in your plan to contain the outbreak of contagious diseases such as malaria, cholera, yellow fever, hepatitis C, HIV etc.? Write an 800-word essay to describe your mitigation plan in detail, explaining the role of your medical team and defending your course of action.
