RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Rewriting or copy-editing stories written by reporters;
- Writing dynamic headlines, reading proofs and contributing ideas in story selection;
- Other writing assignments may be required;
- Candidates are expected to work a flexible schedule.
- Be an excellent team person who can generate ideas and think creatively; be able to rewrite totally if needed and to mentor junior staff;
- Ideally be working or have worked in a position of responsibility and understand what leadership entails;
- Have good news judgment and be able to work on shifts for different pages, sometimes under deadline;
- Have had at least two years' editing experience working on editing news pages;
- Have a Bachelor's degree or above in journalism or other related fields.
