In the context of the present national debate on Government of India’s decision to allow foreign direct investment in retail market, ,Nandini Voice for the Deprived, a Chennai based NGO is organizing an All India essay competition for college students on the above subject.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of conducting this essay competition is to encourage the college students to study the pros and cons of FDI in retail and suggest appropriate strategies and control mechanisms that are required, if the FDI should be allowed. The views and recommendations of the students would be forwarded to the Prime Minister of India
ELIGIBILITY: All college students in India studying in under graduate and post graduate level can participate in the competition. Essay should be of maximum 1500 words and can be written in English or Tamil. Five of the entries will be selected for award. The essay should be sent by email.
