Literature Live!, The Mumbai LitFest, will run from October 31st to November 4th. The festival will feature well-known writers, both international and domestic. Each session will aim to be lively, erudite without being academic, and will strive to engage the audience in the debate. Books will be launched, book signings will take place and writers and readers will interact in an informal space.
LITLIVE MY STORY CONTEST:
Winning literary submissions (short stories, poems, essays etc…) get published in the Literature Live 2012 Handbook. The winners also get recognised and receive a prize in the Literature Live awards ceremony. Winners may be invited to read their winning submission in front of an audience at Literature Live 2012

CONTEST INSTRUCTIONS:
- Submit an original work of literature.
- It could be a short story, essay, poem or any work of original literature.
- The submission should not exceed 5000 words.
- Prize Eligibility: Only persons residing in India who are at least 13 years of age can enter.
- Contest Starts: September 24, 2012 at12:00 pm (IST)
- Contest Ends: October 10, 2012 at 06:00 pm (IST)
- Users can choose any topic or subject to write about.
- Submissions should not exceed 5000 words. There is no minimum word length. Haikus are welcome.
- Also please note, since the winner will be influenced by the number of popular votes, shorter works are preferable.
- Submissions will be judged by a panel of eminent writers and litterateurs.
- Each contestant can submit only one original piece of writing.
- Only 3 winners will be picked.
- If a winner is picked from outside the city of Mumbai, Litlive is not responsible for travel to Mumbai and accommodation of the winners.
