UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.

  • How the ICPD (International Conference on Population and Development) made a difference in giving access to reproductive health

ASSESSMENT OF ESSAY | Judges will select the top eight essays per each of the following four groups:

Essay in Bangla
  • Age group (15-16 years old)
  • Age group (17-18 years old)

Essay in English
  • Age group (15-16 years old)
  • Age group (17-18 years old)

PRIZES | Top eight essay writers will be chosen as winners and will be awarded in following manner.
  • 1st : 20,000 Tk
  • 2nd: 15,000 Tk
  • 3rd: 10,000 Tk
  • Special prizes from 4th - 8th: 5,000 Tk each

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
  • Essay should be written in 1000 words either in Bangla or in English and sent to essay.unfpabgd@gmail.com
  • You will be automatically disqualified if plagiarism is found within the content of your essay.
  • One participant can send only one essay.
  • 20 from each group will be selected as primary selection
  • Original certificate and forwarding letter from School authority is an essential and integral part of this competition. No entry will be allowed without original certificate
  • School authority should certify about the original writer of the essay
  • Essay should be named by her/his name, age, school, e-mail address and mobile number
  • UNFPA holds the complete right to include & remove any entry for the contest at any point in time.
  • Any writing considered inappropriate with the culture & values will be eliminated from the competition.
  • UNFPA holds the right to use any of the top essays awarded with prize in this contest at any cause upon mutual consent.
  • UNFPA holds all the rights to take any required decision without prior notice.
