United Nations International Year of Cooperatives Essay Competition for Youth (Nu.14,000 top prize | Bhutan)

All eligible youths and students are invited to participate in the essay competition being organised by the United Nations (UN) International Year of Cooperatives (IYC) Secretariat and the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives, Ministry of Agriculture & Forests.

TOPIC: “Cooperatives: Empowering rural communities towards Gross National Happiness.”

ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS: Youth and children above class 10 if school going and below 23 years if not going to school and unemployed during the submission of the essay.

LENGTH OF THE ESSAY: 2500-3000 words (typed and double spaced in hard copy).

PRIZES: The Winners will be awarded cash prizes during the International Seminar on Cooperatives on 8–10 Oct, 2012. (1st prize: Nu. 13000, 2nd Prize: Nu. 9000, and 3rd prize: Nu. 5000).
