Muslim Academy's Ramadan Writing Contest ($75 top prize | international)
Does Ramadan mean something to you? Do you have a story to share? Do you want to be rewarded for it? Enter our Ramadan Contest and win $75 by writing the best article, story, or poem.

Muslim Academy’s reason for existence is to bring Muslims together and to show the world, specifically the West, that Islam is not what they think. We are Americans, Europeans, Asians, Arabs, Africans. We are mainly Muslims, but work with all religions. We work to bring our worlds together – through language, culture, and religion.

And it’s working. We have received tens of thousands of views of our blog and forum. Our writers focus on timely, interesting, informative articles on Islam in several languages. Our top commentators in turn become bloggers who help add richness and variety to our site. Our articles succeed because they come from, and help, those who matter most – our readers. Who is our next writer? We hope – you.

In the Islamic world, Ramadan has just began and all the Muslims around the world have started reading more Islamic articles that would help them know more rich information about Islam and new things they might have not known. Ramadan means something different to everyone. What does it mean to you?

We have decided to start a contest that everyone to participate in. Write, in your own words, the best original article relating to Ramadan. It can be a poem, an article, helpful tips and things to do in Ramadan, ways to get closer to Allah, or how Ramadan has changed your life. What is the best article? Our readers will be the judge. We use an internal metric system that measures both comments, shares, views and likes. If your article is the best, it means our readers have decided it to be the best and you will reap the benefits. It doesn’t have to be in English. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to have meaning that touches people and helps them appreciate this holy month even more.

The winner of the contest will receive $75. The contest starts on the first day of Ramadan and ends on September 1, which is the deadline for submissions. The winner will be announced September 2.
