Deadline: 16 November 2012
Proposals are now being accepted for the 2013 Southwest/Texas Popular Culture and American Culture Associations conference, Feb 13-16, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Conference Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our conference theme this year is “Celebrating Popular/American Culture(s) in a Global Context.”
All presenters will submit their proposals through the conference database this year. To submit a proposal to the conference’s subject area on Asian Popular Culture & The Asian-American Experience, visit the conference database site.
Asian Popular Culture & The Asian-American Experience is a topic area that covers a wide variety of material. We have combined Anime/Manga into this larger topic area this year in order to provide an opportunity for greater participation. In fact, if your paper has anything to do with Asian popular culture or Asian-American life and culture, from food to film to fashion to family, we are definitely interested. If you have any questions, please .
Remember, too, that SW/TX PCA is offering monetary awards for the best graduate student papers in a variety of categories, so be sure to check out the information on the main website.
Preliminary deadline for submissions is Nov. 16, 2012.
