Founded in 2008, The Next Web is one of the world’s largest online publishers that delivers an international perspective on the latest news about Internet Technology, business and culture. Its blog has an active, influential audience with over 7 million monthly page views. The Next Web continues to expand its global presence on and off its website through content syndication, with events that bring the tech-eco system together and the addition of new channels and online services.

Here at The Next Web, we’re expanding our gadgets coverage and we’re looking for two top-notch GADGETS EDITORS to join us.

If you’re passionate about mobile phones, smart TVs, laptops, tablets – pretty much anything with an Internet connection – we want to hear from you. You’ll need to have a great eye for news, a talent for in-depth reviews of the latest must-have devices and a good knowledge of the wider technology industry.

The Next Web is a 24-hours-a-day operation, and our team is spread across the globe. For these two roles we’re particularly looking for people in Canada, Israel, eastern Europe or Africa, however if you’re an excellent candidate from elsewhere we’d still love to hear from you. Part of the role will involve covering general technology news and startups from around your region, in addition to gadget-related work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Watching out for, and reporting, breaking news stories, anywhere on the planet – but especially within the gadgets sphere and within your region.
  • Reviewing gadgets and startups from across the planet.
  • Writing thoughtful discussion posts about the International technology scene; the companies involved, influencers and everything in between.
  • Attending events and conferences.
  • Interviewing the influencers and companies behind the headlines.

SALARY: Industry standard but negotiable.
