India Times is looking for an Entertainment Editor to manage exclusive content related to cinema (Bollywood/Tollywood/Kollywood), coordinating with PR/Freelance photographers. Candidates should have good English language skills. The Editor's role is to file stories, edit articles and ensure engaging content on the site; while maximizing web traffic on the site with good coverage along with proper tagging and promotion of content.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES REQUIRED –
• A Graduate/Post graduate in English / Journalism with an excellent vocabulary, grammar and proof reading skills.
• Managing for exclusive content on the site, coordinating with PR/Freelance photographers
• A good team member with highly effective communication skills and an experience in copy editing.
• Editing and Proof reading editorial content
• A basic internet knowledge about scanning the news/bollywood sites and should be tech savvy
INDUSTRY/FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE NEEDED:
• Should have taste for Entertainment related news and smart enough to generate stories timely
• Good eye for pictures / features / interviews, arranging for them through PR/freelance photographers
• Attention to details and expertise on writing on bollywood/TV.
• A good team member with highly effective communication skills and an experience in copy editing.
• Sound knowledge of Photoshop/CMS or any backend tool for production
