International Submissions Welcomed: Body Snatchers and Chest Bursters Anthology (scifi horror | honorarium: $0.05 per word)
Deadline: 31 December 2012

Dark Galaxy Press is now accepting submissions for the exciting e-book collection Body Snatchers and Chest Bursters: An Anthology of Sci-Fi Horror.

We are seeking ambitious, original short stories that contain both a science fiction and horror element. Let your imagination run wild! If you have been kicking around an absolutely horrifying story idea about a derelict ship, found floating through space that contains a terrible secret, or an alien virus that makes the infected behave like something other than human, we want to read it.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We want ORIGINAL, unpublished work. Please don't send us work that has been rejected by another publisher.

Payment is 5 cents per word up to 4000 words, and a contributor's electronic copy of the anthology. Upon acceptance, you give Dark Galaxy Press the right to publish your story as part of an e-book anthology that may be sold by major retailers such as Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, etc. You also grant Dark Galaxy Press the right to publish your story in a physical paper copy of the anthology, should we choose to ever take the anthology to print. You retain all other rights to your story and the copyright to your story is in your name, so if you want to sell the story to another publication later, or anything else, you retain the right to do so.

The deadline for submissions is DECEMBER 31, 2012. Stories should be mailed as an attachment to the e-mail address above. On the first page of your story, type your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, and a word count in the top left corner.

Feel free to contact us with any other questions about your story.
