COPY EDITORS FOR NEWS UPDATE: Working closely with Chinese writers and copy-editing scripts written by non-native speakers for broadcast; Helping Chinese writers and non-native reporters present concise and expressive stories; Writing news headlines; Fact-checking; Writing breaking news stories; Doing voice-over and sound-bites; Writing and producing news stories when required. Qualifications: Native English speakers; University bachelor degree or above; Minimum 2 years of experience working in the media industry; Excellent writing skills for television broadcast; Excellent voice for television broadcast; Abilities to work against tight deadlines and to work against regular hours; Good team player.

INTERNATIONAL DESK ASSIGNMENT EDITORS: Monitoring international breaking news; Planning future international coverage; Coordinating with overseas international reporters; Assisting chief editors and programs on assignments to overseas reporters; Chasing up stories from overseas reporters; Assessing overseas reporters’ work; Assisting traveling reporters logistics, local support, etc.; Assisting in editing scripts filed from overseas reporters; Keeping a record of overseas reporters’ work load; Qualification: Native English speakers or proficient in written and spoken English; University bachelor degree or above; Minimum 2 years of experience as producer or relevant co-ordination works in broadcast news, preferably with internationally renowned media organizations; Good organization skills; Good knowledge of international current affairs; Good computer skills;
NEWS EDITORS FOR CCTV-NEWS Talk Show 'Dialogue': Planning future coverage; Doing research and finding stories; Writing stories and producing relevant packages; Booking guests and pre-interviewing guests; Producing and directing live Dialogue programs; Copy-editing scripts written by Chinese colleagues and doing voice-over when necessary; Qualifications: Native English speakers; University bachelor degree or above, preferably with degree in international relations and politics, economics, sociology, or mass communications; Minimum 2 years of experience working in the media industry; Should have deep understanding of international current affairs; Good communication skills and good research skills; Good knowledge of television production techniques.
NEWS EDITORS FOR CCTV-NEWS CURRENT AFFAIRS PROGRAM: Planning future coverage; Doing research and finding stories; Writing, editing, and producing feature-length stories for broadcast; Qualifications: Native English speakers and being fluent in Mandarin; University bachelor degree or above; Having at least two years of journalist experience of broadcast; Being knowledgeable and curious about China and its social issues; Having a flair for identifying compelling angles focused on the political, social, and economic issues of China today; Thorough knowledge of television production techniques both in the office and in the field;
