Istoria Timor National Writing Competition ($1,500 cash in prizes)

Entries are now open for Timor Aid’s national writing competition “Istoria Tetun” with authors called to submit stories of at least 10,000 words by 30 September 2012.

Cash prizes totalling USD$1,500 are up-for-grabs and the competition will encourage Timorese women to participate with a special USD$500 prize for female authors.

DETAILS OF THE COMPETITION
  • First Prize: USD$500
  • Second Prize: USD$300
  • Third Prize: USD$200
  • Special prize for female authors: USD$500

Entries must be at least 10,000 words and must be written in Tetun (Ortografia Tetun Nasional) and must be submitted by 30 September 2012.

You can email you story to: istoriatimor@timoraid.org or deliver a copy to the Timor Aid office in Dili.
