ASSOCIATE EDITOR / WRITER
Responsibilities:
- The Associate Editor/ Writer is responsible for writing stories, features, reviews, PRs, advertorials, and other print and online materials for both Balikbayan Magazine and other publications / special projects under Asian Journal Publications.
- Duties also include proofreading and editing all written content and assisting the EIC and Managing Editor in all work-related activities and special events.
- Must be able to designate writers and photographers to obtain coverage of matters of news or interest.
- Able to review and copy edit materials and choose photos to make sure that they follow the required style and format of the publication.
- Assist in the preparation of a publication section.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications or equivalent.
- Applicants must have excellent leadership and time management skills.
- Applicants MUST have extensive work experience already gained from a publishing industry.
- Applicants must be well versed and highly interested in travel, lifestyle, arts, culture, and entertainment issues.
- At least one (1) year of working experience in handling a team of writers and managing the over-all content of a magazine.
- Knowledge in copywriting is an advantage.
- Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
- Preferably 1-4 years experienced employees specializing in Journalist/Editor or equivalent.
- Full-Time positions available.
