The Citizens Theatre from United Kingdom brings a Monster to the halls of Macao… Modern theatre has undergone numerous changes over the years. Performers talk about these transformations in an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

CREATING THE MONSTER IN THE HALL WORKSHOP

Without a set, without props, how do four performers present an intricate question? The director and cast of The Monster in the Hall, together with the audience, explores socially relevant issues, share their creative process and acting experiences and explain how the theatre can mirror social problems and develop creativity.

Notes to applicants:

To be considered, applicants must be aged 14+. Preference given to those with some stage experience. Participants must attend both performances of Monster in the Hall and the three-day workshop. Interested parties should fill out the application form (available from www.icm.gov.mo/fam) and return it to the Cultural Affairs Bureau (Praça do Tap Seac, Edif. do Instituto Cultural) or email it to fam@icm.gov.mo, with email subject stating “Application for the Monster in the Hall Workshop”. Applicants will be informed of acceptance by phone. Deadline for submissions: 4th May 2012.
