Goodword Books publishes books in four broad categories:
1. Islamic Books for Children, especially stories from the life of the Prophet Muhammad and his companions.
2. Books on Arabic Learning for Children.
3. Islamic Books for Adults.
4. Books on Arabic Learning for Adults.
The books should be based on the Quran and Hadith and, in language and style, should be of the highest standard. We do not publish fiction and poetry, therefore, any manuscript sent in these categories will automatically not be considered by us.
You may send your proposal along with a few sample chapters or the complete manuscript. They can be sent as a hard copy or even e-mailed. We will not return any material submitted to us. It is advisable to retain a copy of it. It should be preferably typed out in A-4 size paper. Goodword Books receives many proposals and manuscripts every year. We value the work sent to us and give equal attention and time to them. There is no need for you to come in person or call up to know the status of the evaluation of your work. Within a fortnight of receiving your work, we will inform you of its receipt. The detailed evaluation takes a minimum of three to six months and after this due process of evaluation, we will inform you of our final decision.
Terms and conditions will be discussed with the author only on final acceptance of a book for publication
You are free to submit your proposal or the manuscript simultaneously to us and to others. We would, however, request you to inform us as soon as your manuscript has been accepted for publication by someone else.
