SUMMARY OF POSITION

IREX seeks media experts able to conduct training in Korean or Chinese to add to its roster of consultants available for supporting media sector strengthening projects in Asia.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide journalism and editorial skills building to new and experienced journalists working in Korean or Chinese

· Provide training seminars, workshops and on-site consultancies for professional and citizen journalists

· Assess content produced by media organizations in Korean or Chinese

· Contribute to program monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated professional experience in media and/or communications

· Experience training, coaching or mentoring professional or citizen journalists

· Demonstrated commitment to core principles of media freedom and journalistic standards

· Understanding of new media approaches and technology

· Korean or Chinese fluency required, with spoken and written English skills
