ICRS-Yogya is an international Ph.D. program located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, that is international, interreligious and interdisciplinary. The vision of ICRS-Yogya is to be an outstanding, internationally respected graduate program and research center in inter-religious studies. Since its inception five years ago, ICRS-Yogya has been committed to upholding and conducting research on gender equality and justice. ICRS-Yogya is now pleased to invite papers on the theme of:
RELIGION AND GENDER IN INDONESIA: DISCOURSE OF KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTION
We will be most interested in papers that deal with topics related, but not limited, to the following:
1. Representation of women in the media, notably in Indonesian television
2. Public or media discourse on the role on women in Indonesia from the religious perspective
3. Critical discourse analysis on the sacred text related to the issue of gender or women in the public domain
4. Religious knowledge of production in Indonesian mainstream media
PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We accept original research papers with a length of 15-20 pages, double spacing, using Times New Roman and font size 12. Recently published papers in 2011-2012 can be permitted, but must be accompanied by full information on the publication. Papers can be submitted either English or Bahasa Indonesia with complete references and biographical information of the author.
WINNERS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING:
1st prize: Rp. 3,000.000
2nd prize: Rp 2.000.000
3rd prize: Rp 1.000.000
