EDITOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Edit/proofread internal and external communication collaterals including media releases, news, reports, summaries, and other marketing materials.
· Write/edit/proofread all English-based speeches, presentations, and correspondence for executive leadership.
· Write/edit messaging for all Public Affairs functions and events.
· Write copy for English version of the monthly internal news publication and online news articles.
· Interview/write/edit leadership stories for e-publication or other communication channels.
· Serve as a member of The Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Editorial Board.
REQUIREMENTS
· Native English speaker or excellent English writing/editing skills as second language speaker
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or equivalent
· Three years of work experience in English copywriting preferred
· Experience in executive speechwriting/correspondence a definite advantage
· Strong research skills, including broad understanding of online search engines
· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
· Flexible and easily adaptable to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
· Understanding of various writing styles appropriate for online, print, social media, brochures
· Understands and uses current and emerging communication technologies
· Ability to consistently build successful relationships
· Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
