Bikyamasr.com, a leading independent news organization based in Cairo, Egypt, is currently looking for an India-based senior writer/editor to join our team as we expand beyond the Middle East.
Your duties will be to provide news articles on an hourly basis, news briefs on breaking news and in depth coverage of all things India on a daily basis Monday through Saturday, from 9 am to at least 5 pm local time.
This is a demanding position that requires a fast-paced worker with a keen sense of news and the ability to maintain coverage of India and its neighboring countries, with a main focus on India, from news to environment to women's issues.
We expect a daily minimum of around 10 stories to be published and uploaded onto the site during your shift, with a focus on original reporting as much as possible. This position has room for much expansion as we try to enter India.
