The Departamento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas of the University of the Philippines, Diliman is now accepting applications for the Certificate in Creating Writing in Filipino program. Requirements:
(1) Photocopy of high school report card, GWA must be 80 (1st - 3rd year high school and 1st - 3rd quarter of the 4th year; an average of 85 in Filipino and English is required),
(2) collection of original creative works (two to threee of any of the following: poems, short stories or novellas, plays, teleplays, screenplays, stories for children, essays),
(3) Recommendation letter from a former teacher that inclues prizes won, work in the school newspaper, any information relevant to writing and performance and similar activities. The application period is from February 1 to March 2, students' orientation will be held on March 16, 4 - 5 pm, the written exam will be held on March 17, 1 pm to 4 pm, interviews will be held on March 24, 9 am to 5 pm. A list of accepted applicants will be released on April 13, 2012.
