Deputy Editor - News & Current Affairs (for ABS-CBN Corporation)
(National Capital Reg - Quezon City)
Responsibilities:
The Deputy Editor will provide leadership capacity in setting the news agenda in the assigned area of specialization. This will include searching and editing of local, national or foreign news that affects public interest. He will produce special editorial projects as assigned, such as but not limited to: special microsites, special research initiatives, polls, chats, among others. He will prepare and implement strategies to develop the section in terms of content and marketable products.
# Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent
# At least ten years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
# Has leadership abilities
# Able to prepare and implement strategies to develop the sections in terms of content and marketable products
# Comfortable/skilled not only in text, but also in video, graphics, chats, and other multimedia presentations
# Has excellent copy editing and writing skills
# Has excellent news sense for content pushed to online and mobile platforms
# Familiar with online platform. Preferably has presence in social media.
# Comfortable / skilled not only in text, but also in video, graphics, chats, and other multimedia presentations
