[nether] is a quarterly magazine in print (fortnightly online) for literature and the arts located in Bombay, India with a focus on all the potential variations in the sphere of contemporary writing from India and across.
/ fortnight Issues : At least every fortnight the site will be updated and feature new selections from submissions (writers/artists). All submissions we receive will automatically be considered for both fortnight features and print, though not necessarily included in the latter. So , when you submit, please keep in mind that you are making yourself eligible for both digital and print publication.Please read through the page for details if you still prefer using the email address to submit your work. Otherwise, just click on the “submit” link above and submit your work within minutes.

sent via submishmash; the online submission manager.
. We accept submissions in any season, works sent after a particular timeline will be reviewed for the next issue.
. Give us at least a month to acknowledge your submissions. If we still don’t reply, you can activate your redoubtable counters.
. Paste your submissions in the body of the mail or attach them as word/pdf documents.
. Although we support anonymity and arcane pseudonyms, please, in a few sentences, mention that you’d like it to be that way. Untraceable mails will go unread. And, in any case, do accompany your submissions with a short-short bio.
. In some rare cases we might suggest a few editorial changes to a submitted text, and the author will be notified at each step of the process. Heavy bios are also likely to be edited.

Poetry: 1-6 *unpublished poems.
*(By unpublished we mean work which has not appeared anywhere else: In print or online. We don’t consider blog posts as published work).
Short-Fiction: 1-3 pieces at once.
( >50 words< 3000 words) Drama: We prefer shorter pieces <3000 words. Open: Any text, Hybrid text, Cut-up, Collage, Bricolage, Dreamprose Sound & Moving Images: Audio (poems/ sounds/ music) and video (short films/visuals) submissions are also welcome. Image: Photography, Digital Art, Graphic – Fiction (Non-Fiction), (For now we can consider only B/W work in this category) . If you are submitting your work simultaneously to other publications: You know what to do. . Published authors receive two copies of the issue in which their work appears. . The copyright always remains with the author, we only expect first-publication rights and the permission to reproduce it online/print in the future. . Use the blog and submission address copiously for anything you’d like to say or bring to our notice.
