Prizes
There will be a total of 3 winners in the Competition. The prizes for each section are as
follows:
directs analysts based in Templeton's 17 Emerging markets offices and manages the emerging
markets portfolios. Dr. Mobius has spent more than 40 years working in emerging markets all
over the world and has always been referred to as the “father of emerging markets”. Dr. Mobius
has won numerous awards globally and he is the author of 8 books, including Equities - An
Introduction to the Core Concepts, Mutual Funds - An Introduction to the Core Concept, Mark
Mobius - An Illustrated Biography and etc.
Competition Rules and Conditions
1. Participants can write on either one of the topics listed above. The content of the article must be relevant to the topic.
2. All entries submitted must be the original work of the participant. Entries that have been published or submitted to any other competition will not be accepted.
3. There is no limit on the number of entries submitted, but each participant may receive only one award.
4. All entries will not be returned.
5. The decisions from the panel of judges regarding the Competition results are final and cannot be negotiated.
6. The employees of Wall Street Journal and Franklin Templeton Investments may not participate in the Competition.
7. By participating in the competition, participants shall agree that their entries may be archived, edited and reproduced by the China Future Leadership Program corporate sponsor, Franklin Templeton Investments in any form as it deems appropriate.
8. Franklin Templeton Investments holds the right to edit the entries and to use the entries, edited or otherwise, as part of its activities, in exhibitions, productions or publications, along with the participants’ names.
Specifications
1. The article submitted shall be typed. Typed articles shall be in Microsoft Word document format with double-line spacing and printed on A4 size (210mm x 297mm) paper.
2. The expected length of the essay is no more than 1,000 words. BE SURE OF YOUR WORD COUNT! Entries exceeding the limit will be disqualified. The title and contact information on the top of the first page will not be counted in the word limit.
3. Your name, email address, and phone number must appear in the upper lefthand corner of the first page—otherwise your entry is disqualified.
Submission Procedures
The results of the Competition will be published on the China Future Leadership Program
website, http://www.wsj-asia.com/flp/china/index.html. Winners of the Competition will also be notified individually.
