Job Details
Shanghai Family magazine, Shanghai’s leading English-language parenting magazine, is looking for a Managing Editor.
Responsibilities include
* planning editorial content
* assigning articles to freelance writers
* writing articles and editorials
* liaising with the ad-sales team
* designers and photographers
* maintaining strong community contacts
* managing the content for shfamily.com
Other duties include working with the marketing team to establish a strong brand identity and cooperate with the events manager for Shanghai Family Kids Club.
Candidates should have several years of professional magazine experience either as an editor or writer, and be reasonably knowledgeable about the health and education market in Shanghai and well versed on parenting topics. Native English language ability is a must, conversational Mandarin is a bonus. Having kids is a big bonus.
