POSITION: Editor
The Seoul Convention Bureau (SCB), a division of the Seoul Tourism Organization, is the official government-sponsored body representing and promoting the city overseas as a prime venue for meetings, conventions and exhibitions. The SCB is in charge of international marketing and public relations for Seoul as a convention city.
Job Description:
The Seoul Tourism Organization is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for an editor position. The core responsibility is to 1) work with editors and staff to create the monthly newsletter, press releases, advertisements, and publicity materials. 2) Assist public relations work with foreign media contacts.
Main Responsibilities:
1) Content creation for monthly newsletter (http://miceseoul.com/stories/)
2) Content creation of literature and other publicity materials
3) Planning and developing advertisements
4) Drafting/editing speeches and correspondences for politicians and VIP’s.
5) Editing content produced by the SCB
Requirements:
1) Bachelor’s Degree
2) At least 1-2 years editing or professional writing experience
3) Native English speaker with excellent writing skills and a solid command of English grammar.
4) Proficiency in Korean is a plus, but not required.
