Job Description:
Successful product marketing at Amazon starts with accurate product images and informative text-based product descriptions. However, complex products often benefit from additional descriptive content that can help customers make more informed buying decisions. At Amazon, partners that wish to add this kind of content to their products can do so by creating enhanced HTML-based product descriptions. These "A+" product descriptions provide additional opportunities to communicate product details to customers such as product features, specifications, and/or technical details not already presented on the page, optimized alternative product images, and feature comparisons. In some cases, detail pages may not have even basic content on them, in which case you’ll need to work with the vendor to also obtain a sufficient title, bullets, and product description for the item.
Candidates for writing, editing, and uploading this information will have:
* Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills
* Basic HTML skills in order to encode content for upload
* Basic Excel knowledge to format content for bulk uploads
* Familiarity with Photoshop or other photo-editing software for image resizing
* Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with vendors or reps supplying information
* Good judgment when it comes to editing or omitting content for submission and adhering to company styleguides
* Familiarity with in-house applications for uploading images and content (GIM, Media Central)
