ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION
We are happy to inform you that we are going to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Achrya Prafulla Chandra Roy at university campus. To celebrate birth anniversary, an essay writing competition among the student is going to organize. The students of Burdwan University are welcome to participate in this essay writing competition.
Topics of the essay
1. The history of science in Bengal and Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy
2. Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy and entrepreneurship
Who can participate
1. Any students of arts, commerce and science, LLB, BLIS, MBA and any other Departments of Burdwan University campus.
2. Any students of UIT, BU
Rules
• Word limit: The maximum word limit is 2000 words.
• Medium of writing: Bengali, English or Hindi
• Any one of the above topics should be chosen for the essay writing
• The essay should be neatly hand written or typed on one side of the paper and be submitted on or before 18th. February’ 2011 to any of the following members of Paschim Banga Vigyan Mancha, BU unit.
• Participants are required to fill the prescribed form which should be attached along with the essay duly forwarded by Head/Faculty member of the department.(The form can be available from the above members or BU website: www.buruniv.ac.in)
Prize / Certificate: 1st. 2nd. and 3rd.prizes along with certificates will be awarded to the respective winners. The date of the prize giving ceremony will be announced Shorty.
