SOAS College's National English Essay Writing Competition on 'The Year 2035'

Participants may consider points on pollution, Brunei, technology, population, financial systems, education and wars to be included in the essay, a press release stated.

The competition has four categories. For Year Seven, the word limit is 200 while for Year Eight the word limit is 250. A word limit of 300 is set for participants in Year Nine and 350 words for those in Year 10.

All essays must be typed out with details including full name, contact number, IC number, year group and school. All essays must be submitted through the respective schools via email to soascollege@live.com or a paper copy to SOAS College by April 13.

Any students who are interested in entering the competition must speak to their school administration or contact Mr Fahim Docrat, the Project Manager on 2242249 or soascollege@live.com.

There will be prizes given out to one winner and one runner-up for each year group. There will also be a grand prize awarded for the best overall essay.
