BML New Media is looking for a talented editor who has lived or currently lives in Tokyo and can be our eyes and ears in Japan. They must possess in-depth knowledge of the culture and language, understand the different traditions and curate fresh content. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of social media and online communities to target a new generation of style-conscious, eco-conscious women with a special focus on kid culture. Experience in online magazines and newspapers and women’s consumer magazines a plus, and must possess editorial and research skills in order to apply.
Responsibilities will include translation from Japanese to English, staying on top of trends, helping write our city guides, fact-checking, reporting, and assigning stories. The candidate will also be an integral part of our team to help launch in Japan and build our office there.
