Job Opening: Managing Editor for Push Magazine (Lebanon)
Push (www.pushmag.me) is the first business and empowerment magazine for women in the Middle East.

Location: Lebanon - Beirut

A newly established PAN ARAB magazine has an immediate full time opening for a dedicated managing editor.

Major responsibilities:

1- Help generate new and interesting article ideas.
2- Recruit, and supervise writers, contributors and manage relationships with other freelancers as required.
3- Perform research, as necessary, to validate accuracy of content.
4- Liaise with editorial and marketing staff on the content direction of the newsletters, and marketing materials.
5- Represent the magazine at community and local events such as openings, conferences, exhibitions, business lunches, etc.
6- Create and maintain tight project schedules.
7- Evaluate, proofread and edit content as necessary.
8- Work with designers to produce the finished product.
Candidates should have extensive experience with publishing, and 4-plus years as an editor; supervisory experience is necessary, as are strong inter-personal and communication skills. Excellent English language proficiency is required.
