WGSN is the leading global service providing online research, trend analysis and news to the fashion, design and style industries. We serve the majority of the world's retailers, manufacturers and designers, top marketing and advertising firms, and a diverse range of iconic brands.

To cope with our China expansion and site content development, we are currently looking for a Chinese Language Editor based in our Hong Kong office.

Chinese Language Editor

Reporting to the Business Director for Asia Pac, the Chinese Language Editor will be responsible for ensuring accurate translations for fashion articles, marketing collateral and daily bulletins.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the QC of the output from translation agencies
• Coordinate with external translation agency to ensure a seamless translation workflow
• Monitor the quality of the Chinese daily bulletin and selected materials
• Translate a monthly webinar and seminar scripts as and when required
• To ensure accurate and consistent translation on wgsn.com at all times
• Other translation tasks assigned by Business Director (Asia Pac)
• Interpret between Mandarin and English at tradeshows, interviews and seminar if required

Qualifications

• Certificate in translation (English to Simplified Chinese) or equivalent
• Preferably with journalism background and some fashion reporting background (in Simplified Chinese)

Knowledge

• Computer literate
• Written and verbal fluency in Mandarin and English
• Editorial skills
• Fashion background

Experience

• Minimum 3 years translation experience
