ITP Business: Editor, Utilities Middle East
GCC countries are investing heavily in the construction of new water and power plants to support the needs of their growing populations. ITP Business is looking for an editor for Utilities Middle East, its B2B title for the region’s power & water generation and distribution professionals. You will be writing about the technology that goes into these new plants, how they are built and funded, and the role that nuclear and renewable energy are likely to play in the GCC’s future.
Working with the group editor, you will plan the content of the magazine, write and source copy, feed copy and images through to the design team and be responsible for final approval of pages. You will understand how to make a magazine commercially successful and invaluable to its readers. Excellent writing and editing skills, a keen eye for detail and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential.
Knowledge of the utilities industry would be useful, but talent, willingness to learn and a genuine passion for business journalism are more important. The position would suit a news, deputy or features editor looking to take the next step in their career. The position is based in the vibrant coastal city of Dubai. Please supply your CV, examples of your work and details of current salary.
