Islamic Thought Writing Competition
Deadline: 1 February 2011

Write 500 words on what we learn during the days of Muharram Al-Haram from the life and teachings of Imam Hussain.

Prizes:

1st prize - £200
2nd prize - £150
3rd prize - £100

Our daily lives apply the lessons learnt from the school of thought of Imam Hussain. We learnt from our mother's lullabies and on our father's knees. Every year, scholars and zakireen repeat these lessons to us.

Let us put pen to paper and write down whatever we have learnt, to enter the Islamic Thought competition and also to remind others of this message.

Guidelines:

  • Possibility of your entry being published in a book
  • The quality of English writing will also be judged
  • For ages up to 25 years
  • Include your name, address, email address and date of birth with your entries
  • Send entries to maulana@islamicthought.co.uk
